About Us
Apocalypse Farm and Sanctuary is a Vermont based non-profit located in Whiting, VT, with foster locations throughout the state. We provide specialized rescue, crisis consultation, community outreach, humane education and sanctuary. We are here to build the pathways that allow people and animals move forward together.
We proudly serve Vermont animals and the communities that care for them.
At Apocalypse Farm And Sanctuary, we recognize that human crisis and animal crisis are deeply interconnected. We exist as a bridge between animal welfare and human support systems by providing trauma-informed, behaviorally literate and structured support services for vulnerable animals and the people who care for them.
Our organization operates through a humane response model rooted in compassionate transparency. We serve our community through foster and adoption services, farm sanctuary placement, crisis stabilization, behavioral rehabilitation, community access programs, and humane advocacy.
We collaborate with rescues, animal control agencies, law enforcement, veterinary professionals, and community partners to support humane intervention, protect animal welfare, and promote accountability in cases involving neglect, cruelty, abuse, behavioral crisis, and unsafe conditions.
We believe ethical animal welfare requires both compassion and honesty. By expanding access to care, addressing systemic barriers, and strengthening the human-animal bond within underserved communities, we strive to create safer, more humane pathways. In honesty, we find the right road forward.
What Makes Us Different
We don't believe adoption ends when paperwork is signed.
Through our Team Dog Model, adopters become part of an ongoing support network.
Slow is kind.
We believe thoughtful, relationship-centered placements create the strongest foundations for lifelong success. Taking the time to learn, adjust, and support one another is an investment.
From thoughtful matching, Team Dog support and lifetime partnership, we are the opposite of impulsive rescue.
Community - Courage - Compassion
Animal Welfare Response
If you contact Apocalypse Farm and Sanctuary with concerns about animal neglect, cruelty, behavioral crisis or owner hardship, we'll start by listening.
Every situation is unique, and our first priority is understanding what is happening so we can help identify possible humane action. Depending on the circumstances, we may provide guidance, connect you with appropriate resources, assist with crisis planning, collaborate with animal control, law enforcement, other organizations, offer behavioral consultation, support court-related cases when appropriate, or provide the animal physical placement when appropriate.
Every situation deserves thoughtful stewardship and honest support.
